We had a late soccer game on a recent Saturday, so we decided to go lazy and pick up some take-out. Cute W wanted to try out Johnny’s in downtown Schenectady, conveniently located between the soccer field and our house.
The food was ready and waiting at the bar when I ran in, thinking I was too early, to pick it up. The place was hopping.
It was pretty tasty. We tried the Chicken Parmigiana. . .
some Veal Scallopini Alla Marsala. . .
and Joey’s Barese, which is sausage and broccoli in a garlic/sherry sauce.
We also got some sausage and meatballs dish, but my children mauled it before I had my camera out.
Cute W and I thought the Joey’s Barese was by far the best dish. And that’s coming from a gal who’s not usually a sausage fan. The pasta itself was pretty scrumptious, too.
